Only Three Homes Remain Available at Legacy of Mountain Lakes in Morris County

Carriage ExteriorsMOUNTAIN LAKES, N.J. – Time is running out for buyers who want to take advantage of one of the only new construction products available in the desirable Morris County borough of Mountain Lakes. Legacy of Mountain Lakes, the upscale townhome community, is down to its final three homes remaining, developer HornRock Properties announced today.

In a local market where new construction homes are difficult to come by, HornRock Properties is preparing to close out an extremely successful sales and marketing program that has attracted buyers who want to live in Mountain Lakes, but who are also looking for modern features such as designer interiors and upscale finishes. The property is 95 percent sold and filled with happy residents who enjoy close proximity to lake beach clubs, golf courses, mountain trails, excellent public schools, and everything else that makes Mountain Lakes special.

“Mountain Lakes’ award-winning schools, scenic locale and commuter-friendly location have made the borough one of northern New Jersey’s long sought-after residential destinations,” says Maurice Hornblass, a HornRock Properties principal. “Introducing a luxury townhome community to the neighborhood has proven to be a hit, and with three homes now remaining, there is still an opportunity for buyers here, but we don’t expect that availability to last much longer.”

The three homes remaining at Legacy of Mountain Lakes represent three distinct floorplans. The “Midvale” is a three-bedroom, 2 ½-bath home design that includes a variety of upscale appointments, including an upgraded kitchen. It provides approximately 2,236 square feet of living space and lives even larger, with a spacious foyer that opens onto a magnificent Great Room and patio, an open-concept second floor with country kitchen, living and dining rooms, and third floor with a luxurious master suite. The home is priced at $635,900. [Read more…]

Mountain Lakes residents – Do you have your beach tags for summer?

beach tags

Summer is finally here! Its time to enjoy the beach and have some good, safe fun!
Beaches are restricted for use by residents and immediate family members who reside with them. As you may know, to enter the beach, a beach tag available from Borough Hall is required. Proof of residency is necessary for ALL adults over 21 wishing to purchase tags.
Children under two years of age (as of June 1, 2013) do not need a tag. Seniors (aged 62 or over) must obtain tags but there is no fee. One Nanny tag is available per household and must be purchased separately.

This summer especially, we all are excited to be spending time with friends and family members in NJ on our beautiful beaches with so much to offer in terms of fine dining restaurants, activities for families, summer camps,  etc. We are so lucky to have these amazing beaches so close to us at Legacy of Mountain Lakes – just another reason our residents enjoy living here so much.

Summer living at Legacy is underway and we couldn’t be happier!

Don’t forget your sunscreen!

Florham Park Place Diner: The Best Traditional Diner in North Jersey

Rows and rows of Formica booths, neon lights, and an eleven page menu- Florham Park Place Diner is what people think of when someone says “Diner.” A popular meeting place since the 1950’s, the current owners took over in 1991, updating many aspects like service and food quality without sacrificing the small town feel. The extensive menu offers everything from wraps and Paninis to burgers and hot dogs to sea scallops and veal cutlet. Standout entries include George's Village Platter of Stuffed Grape Leaves, Olives, Fresh Feta Cheese and Fried Calamari, and the Raspberry Chicken Waldorf salad. Three Famous Restaurants from TV Shows

When we watch TV, we get invested in "our shows". We take time out of our busy schedules to watch the same characters each and every week. It's not wonder that we become attached to them! Well, now you can share a little piece of their story by visiting the same restaurants where our beloved characters have enjoyed meals.

Tom's Restaurant
Week after week we watched the goofy cast of Seinfeld head over to Tom's Restaurant to talk about nothing. Now you can do the same thing at the New York diner. Of course the inside is entirely different than what you see on the show, but there is a poster of Kramer hanging on the wall.

Holsten's
The final scenes of the beloved crime drama The Sopranos took place at Holsten's in Bloomfield, New Jersey. The confectionery sells candies, sodas, and ice cream as well as traditional diner food. The onion rings may or may not be the best in the state (as Tony Soprano proclaimed), but the ice cream could be. You can even sit in the same booth as the cast members did when filming!

Twede’s Cafe
In the pilot of the cult classic Twin Peaks many of the diner scenes were shot at Double R Diner, which is now known as Twede’s Cafe. A fire destroyed much of the restaurant in 2000, and they needed to rebuild leaving the inside almost unrecognizable from the show, but there's still a variety of Twin Peaks memorabilia for sale in the store. And of course they still have cherry pie and a "fine cup ‘o coffee".

Some of The Best Indian Food In Morris County: Cinnamon Indian Restaurant

This fantastic Northern Indian restaurant has been tantalizing diners with an extensive menu of dishes for years. You’ll fall in love with Cinnamon from the minute the servers bring the basket of complimentary garlic naan to your table—diners unanimously agree that their take on the traditional Indian flatbread is some of the best you’ll find anywhere. Thankfully, the rest of the menu offers plenty of delicious dishes to soak up with that bread. Regulars rave about the delicious saag paneer, chicken tikka masala, lamb kachi mirchwalla, and more. There really isn’t a bad note on the menu, though, so order with confidence and you won’t be disappointed. Service is attentive and helpful, with the staff able to explain the flavors that you might not be familiar with.

Amazon Kindle Paperwhite
If you commute by train or bus, an e-reader's almost a must. It's easy to slip into a briefcase or purse, has a long battery life, and can hold an enormous number of books. One of the best is the new-ish Kindle Paperwhite, with a no-glare screen that lets you read at all angles and a front light that's easy on the eyes.

Puleo’s Brick Oven Pizza: Fresh and Delicious

With a diverse menu of expertly prepared dishes, Puleo's Brick Oven Pizza is a gem of a restaurant. These pies are classic creations made from a brick oven, topped with ingredients like salami, eggplant, and artichoke hearts. Pizza isn't the only thing on the menu, however. There's an impressive array of pastas, fresh fish, and meat and chicken entrees to choose from, as well. The chef and his staff make everything from scratch, too, so you're guaranteed to get food that's never anything but fresh. Puleo's is BYOB, too, so feel free to bring your favorite alcoholic beverage along to enjoy while eating your meal! Puleo's can fill up, however, so reservations are recommended if you're thinking of dining here. It's worth the planning, though, because the food here is downright exceptional.
