Mountain Lakes residents – Do you have your beach tags for summer?

beach tags

Summer is finally here! Its time to enjoy the beach and have some good, safe fun!
Beaches are restricted for use by residents and immediate family members who reside with them. As you may know, to enter the beach, a beach tag available from Borough Hall is required. Proof of residency is necessary for ALL adults over 21 wishing to purchase tags.
Children under two years of age (as of June 1, 2013) do not need a tag. Seniors (aged 62 or over) must obtain tags but there is no fee. One Nanny tag is available per household and must be purchased separately.

This summer especially, we all are excited to be spending time with friends and family members in NJ on our beautiful beaches with so much to offer in terms of fine dining restaurants, activities for families, summer camps,  etc. We are so lucky to have these amazing beaches so close to us at Legacy of Mountain Lakes – just another reason our residents enjoy living here so much.

Summer living at Legacy is underway and we couldn’t be happier!

Don’t forget your sunscreen!

The Station Restaurant at Mountain Lakes – The Perfect Stop!

imagesWelcome to the Station at Mountain Lakes! Dining here is an exceptional experience. Housed in a turn of the century train station, the ambiance is quaint and charming.   Owners Carlos Vasquez, Steve Turkot and Chef Bradley Cooper are continuing their vision of a local restaurant with a warm, friendly atmosphere, paired with outstanding food. The Station is known as a “scratch” restaurant, which means they purchase no premade or processed foods. All the food is made on premises; soups, stocks, dressings and sauces are made from scratch (no msg or preservatives ever!).  Homemade bread is baked twice daily (can you smell the aroma?). Desserts are also made on premise. Fresh fish is delivered daily, using only wild shrimp and fish when available. They roast their own peppers, grate their own cheese, and whip fresh cream daily. There is no microwave in the restaurant. All of the menu items are made to order, no shortcuts are taken. It might take a little longer, but the results speak for themselves, keep it simple, keep it fresh. Enjoy the ride!

Eat well, live well in 2013. Il Michelangelo’s Italian Restaurant

Ring in the New Year with a culinary experience that will be sure to delight your palate.

In March of 2000, when Il Michelangelo Resturant opened it’s primary goal was to recreate “Made in Italy flavors” at a high standard of culinary and service excellence, while offering great value to the local community.  Now over 12 years later, it is safe to say that they have succeeded.  At Il Michelangelo’s Restaurant they confidently offer the finest Italian foods to the savviest of Italian food enthusiasts.

Located in an elegantly restored house that was once the site of a Stagecoach Inn, Il Michelangelo Restaurant has brought a touch of Italian grace and charm to Mountain Lakes/Boonton Township in Morris County and enjoyed success and patronage that is beyond their wildest dreams.  This is evident by the ever-returning clientele who have made Il Michelangelo Italian Restaurant a favorite place to dine.  Sicilian-born owner Dominic Cascio is a master restaurateur who co-founded Aldo’s Italian Restaurant in Wyckoff and Rockaway.   He has combined his culinary expertise and gift for extra-ordinary hospitality to create a fine dining experience in an informal, casual, and contemporary setting.  During the warmer months at Il Michelangelo, al fresco dining is available on their spacious porch.  Inside you will dine in the company of oversized reproductions of the immortal paintings of the restaurant’s namesake.  The menu is as affordable as it is appealing, with a large selection of expertly crafted regional Italian specialties, all absolutely authentic and recreated by Dominic’s son, Executive chef Dominic Cascio Jr. As the name suggests, Il Michelangelo’s Italian Restaurant is truly a work of art , an establishment where a fine dining experience is a certainty

The entire Cascio family invites you to come to Il Michelangelo Restaurant and experience for yourself their motto “ Eat well, Live Well” which holds true.

When you come in please say hello to owner, Dominic, he would love to meet you!

Open New Years Eve from 12 noon to 9:30 pm. Serving dishes off the regular menu as well several specials prepared by the executive chef Dominic Cascio Jr.

Reservations are requested.
